New Editor-in-Chief
Posted on 2025-10-02Dear ELTHE readers,
I’m happy to report that the Society for Experiential Education has named Amy Cicchino to succeed me as our journal’s Editor-in-Chief. Her four-year term begins with the December 2025 issue, now in preparation. She takes on this leadership role following a three-year term on the ELTHE editorial board, five years as a member of the HIPs in the States community, and ten years practicing experiential learning.
She is well positioned to connect the thinking in ELTHE to her other fields of practice. A tenured writing and rhetoric professor and writing center director, she’s also held elected or appointed positions with the Global Society for Online Literacy Educators, the Association for Writing across the Curriculum, and the Association for Authentic, Experiential, Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL). Finding better ways to connect experiential learning to the liberal arts, and to virtual spaces, may be our most urgent task.
While I'll be staying on in a supporting role, I also want to take this chance to say what a privilege it's been to serve as your Editor-in-Chief you for the last few years. I'm thankful to the Society for Experiential Education for giving me the opportunity, and to each of you for giving our journal your attention and support.
