Co-editors-in-chief Ismael and Sam wanted their first issue of the Scarlet Review to be as legitimate as possible, so they published volume one with a registered ISBN, which has not changed but evolved.

Volume two of the Scarlet Review will be published with an ISBN, yet they realized something was missing: an ISSN, a periodical's social security number. It wouldn't be fair to request your contribution without being able to give something back besides a copy of your work, so SR wants to make sure you get the recognition you deserve.

When you apply for work or submit a manuscript, the publishing house you're applying to will be able to find the Scarlet Review across the board, giving you professional credibility.

Our submissions are open, and we are excited to see your work flourish within our new volume.

We encourage you to share the news with your fellow writing community. The Scarlet Review is open to all.

Thanks for being the best part of the Scarlet Review.
