Abstract

Throughout my four years of undergrad, I was proud to create large oil paintings, taking weeks to plan out the concepts and implementation. Simultaneously, I longed to go outside and paint nature as I saw it, in all its beautifully ephemeral qualities. Immediately following graduation, I dove into painting plein air wherever I went, enjoying the rest and reward that come after the long haul of a bachelor's degree. This is one of the series of plein air paintings I created last summer to encapsulate the joy of allowing myself to relax and create.
