Author Guidelines

Northridge Review welcomes submissions from all CSUN undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, employees, and broader members of our community. Our mission is to showcase the diversity of voices, perspectives, and creative forms on campus. Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting.

  1. Eligibility
We accept original, unpublished work only. Work previously shared in workshops, classes, or personal blogs is fine, but pieces that have appeared in other magazines, journals, or anthologies are not eligible.
  2. Diversity
We value inclusivity and strongly encourage submissions from underrepresented voices and communities.
  3. Formatting and Submitting Your Work
Please pay attention to the genre-specific requirements and limits for submissions. For all files, please name the file "PieceTitle_YourName" to ensure clarity about what you are submitting.
  4. Rights and Permissions
Authors/artists retain copyright to their work. By submitting, you grant Northridge Review the non-exclusive right to publish your work in print and digital formats, archive it online, and promote it in connection with the magazine. Unless otherwise specified, all works are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
  5. Review Process
All submissions are read anonymously by the editorial team. Please do not include your name in the manuscript itself. You will be notified of the editorial decision by the end of the semester closest to your submission date. Due to the volume of submissions, we cannot provide individualized feedback on all entries.
  6. Additional Notes
Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
