Come celebrate all things books! This in-person event is perfect for word lovers, writers, designers, makers, and readers alike. Sign up for exciting workshops, meet fellow enthusiasts, and enjoy activities that spark creativity. Whether you’re a student or just curious, the CSUN Book Arts Festival has something to inspire you. Don’t miss out on the chance to connect and have a blast with the printed word!
This festival, happening March 7th, 2026, is a space for sharing and connection, designed to strengthen community networks among literary arts organizations across the greater Los Angeles area. We are especially excited by work that is innovative, experimental, hybrid, and socially engaged—projects that expand what books can be and how knowledge moves through communities.
Rather than a traditional academic conference, the festival centers making, exchange, demonstration, conversation, and collective thinking. We welcome events that produce and validate knowledge differently: hands-on workshops, collaborative readings, performances, print demos, conversations-in-motion, participatory archives, publishing experiments, and other forms that invite audiences into the process.
If you would like to attend, please register in advance so we have an accurate headcount. You may register day-of, but the earlier the better for planning reasons.
If you would like to participate in the programming, please propose an event and/or table. Deadline for proposals is February 20, but priority consideration is given to early submissions.
