  • Celebrating Research Experiences at CI
    Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025)

Undergraduate research happens in many places and across disciplines.  CI Currents was founded to celebrate the diversity of thought and innovation inherent in undergraduate research and communicated in various modalities.  In addition, we want to recognize that authentic student experience in research happens in collaboration with faculty mentors as well as in independent research projects.  We also feel that research experience should be recognized in the production of research posters or presentation as well as in written manuscripts. Our journal is unique in collecting submissions of student research projects developed in capstone research courses or under the guidance of faculty as Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF).  We also celebrate the work of Campus Finalists who submitted their work in the annual CSU Research Competition.
