Marshall Mee, California State University Channel Islands

Marshall Mee is a psychology major and student researcher at CSUCI. Over the past couple semesters he has participated in a range of student research projects, which have led to a publication and multiple conference presentations. Participating in the SURF program was a big opportunity to grow as a researcher and prepare for a future career with research.
Jenna Jimenez, California State University Channel Islands

Jenna Jimenez is a 4th year psychology major with a minor in studio art here at CSUCI. They first participated in undergraduate research through the 2024 SURF program with Dr. Clobes and have since had the opportunity to publish research, present at a variety of conferences, and secure various other opportunities, allowing them to refine their skills and prepare for their journey in academia.
Jesus Maldonado, California State University Channel Islands

Jesus Maldonado is a psychology major and student researcher at CSUCI. He has served as a research assistant across multiple disciplines, including Chicano studies, health sciences, and psychology. These roles have given him the opportunity to present at conferences, share research findings with the Oxnard City Council, and contribute to a published study. He hopes to continue refining his research skills as he plans to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology to help advance the field.
