About the Journal
Since Winter 2008, CSUDH anthropology undergraduates have published the Electronic Student Journal of Anthropology (ESJOA). Although individual student participants change with each academic year, their shared commitment to excellence has continued. CSUDH undergraduates write the research papers, essays, and theoretical summaries and make all major editorial evaluations. CSUDH anthropology students also design the journal, including layout, formatting, and photographs. The ESJOA is an award-winning publication and an extraordinary example of student-led creativity that honors the journal's original vision as a welcoming place for undergraduate scholarship that documents the broad intellectual interests and scholarly achievements of anthropology students at CSUDH and beyond.
ESJOA is a two-time recipient of the CSUDH Presidential Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement: 2010/11, the inaugural year of this award, and again in 2012/13.
