Vol. 1 No. 1 (2022): Cougar Journal of Undergraduate Research: Volume 1
The Cougar Journal of Undergraduate Research

This inaugural issue of the Cougar JUGR features some of the review articles our students generated during the last academic year, where even severely restricted by the COVID-19 pandemic, they persevered and produced the work we can all be proud of. Our editorial team will follow up with select author profiles to tell our readers a little more about these super-star authors.

The Cougar Journal of Undergraduate Research (Cougar JUGR) is an open access preprint platform created at CSUSM that makes research conducted by undergraduate students at CSUSM publicly available, and which provides students with a way to receive feedback on their research. Any focused or interdisciplinary work involving STEM fields is welcome! Each submission undergoes editorial review by a CSUSM faculty member to ensure it meets the review criteria set forth by the Editorial Board (see Author Guidelines and Reviewer Guidelines). The purpose of this journal is to provide students with the opportunity to improve their writing by undergoing a review process, to enable them to make their research available to the community at large, and to allow them to receive feedback on their research prior to submission to a formal publication.
