Lista de comprobación para la preparación de envíos

Como parte del proceso de envío, los autores/as están obligados a comprobar que su envío cumpla todos los elementos que se muestran a continuación. Se devolverán a los autores/as aquellos envíos que no cumplan estas directrices.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is a PDF document.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • All illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The style and format should follow discipline-specific expectations regarding text, headings, tables, etc. The specific format is less important than clarity and consistency throughout the report.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Directrices para autores/as

Areas for submission: CBR@CSUCI publishes reports within three general areas, based on the general topic addressed and the academic field most closely associated with the research: Social & Behavioral Sciences; STEM Fields; and Business & Consulting. In the future, we are open to expanding into any additional areas where there is sufficient interest.

Editorial review policy and processes: CBR@CSUCI is designed to identify and recognize reports that present high quality research applied to important community issues; editorial review processes are designed to guarantee that all reports included meet those standards. To be accepted for inclusion, reports must be clearly written for a general audience; research must be conducted according to all standard professional expectations and methods; and findings must represent a valuable contribution to understanding some community issue. All submissions are reviewed by a team which includes a faculty member and a community partner – both of whom have experience in community-based research, have participated in a workshop on peer review of community-based research, and have basic expertise in the general area addressed in the report.  They will assess each report’s presentation, methods, findings, as well as community context. Reviews are considered by members of the Editorial Board who make final decisions regarding inclusion in CBR@CSUCI.

Submissions: Reports should be written as stand-alone publications that provide all necessary background, descriptions, and explanations for readers to understand the report as a whole. Style and formatting may vary from field to field, so we do not prescribe specific standards in those areas (although we expect consistency and clarity that adhere to basic written and graphical conventions). All components of research must be included (i.e., research questions, research methods, and research findings) written to be accessible to a general educated audience. Reports are expected to be collaborations between students and faculty (with faculty as co-authors or supervisors). If you have questions about whether a report is appropriate for submission, feel free to contact the editorial team.
