Katie Rocio Luna is a first-generation, queer, and transmasculine second-born daughter of Salvadoran and Mexican parents. Their work is a tribute to their parents, their siblings, and their partner’s contributions to their overall success and identity formation within and outside of the academic sphere. In “bendito sea el/la que se hinca antes sus…”, s/he returns to a familiar place of refuge in search of a forgiving, attentive listener who invites them to be vulnerable, honest, imperfect, and authentic.
