Gun Control and Violence
Abstract
Every gunshot leaves behind pain and calls for change, showing the need to rethink how we view guns and safety. Many people believe owning a gun makes them safer, but research shows it often does the opposite. Homes with guns have more accidents, domestic violence, and suicides compared to homes without them. Over time, laws have tried to balance gun rights with public safety, but challenges remain. This paper looks at the link between gun ownership and safety, using history, data, and real-life events. The findings show that more guns don’t mean more safety—in fact, they often bring more harm. To protect families and communities, stricter gun rules and safer solutions are needed.
